If there’s a list out there of volleyball teams you don’t want to play in the state of Iowa, one has to assume Osage is somewhere at the top of that list.
The Green Devils cruised to their 13th win against West Fork Tuesday night, knocking off the Warhawks with ease in three sets.
Not only have the Green Devils yet to lose a game — they’ve also yet to drop a single set on the season, sweeping every opponent they’ve come up against.
Tuesday’s win gets Osage one step closer to clinching the TIC-Conference title. The Green Devils lead with a 6-0 record, trailed by the 4-1 St. Ansgar Saints whose one loss came at the hands of Osage.
The Score: Osage wins it in three, (25-8, 25-10, 25-13) and gets their 6th conference win of the season.
What they’re saying:
“Winning the conference championship is important to us, and [these games] are crucial to get some reps in. Sammy Brandau had a big night, and [tonight] was her first varsity period.” — Coach Bryan Tabbert on being able to rotate different players into the lineup
“I have the best teammates. My job is easy, they just make me look good. It’s really nice having [them].” — Senior Ellie Bobinet on recording her 1,500th assist earlier this season
Up Next: The Green Devils head to Cedar Falls this weekend for a tournament, before return home to face Rockford.
