City of Osage updates trick-or-treating hours

Oct 08, 2020 02:42PM ● By Savannah Howe
When the Osage City Council met in regular session last month, trick-or-treating was set for the afternoon and evening of Friday, October 30, with residential trick-or-treating following the downtown portion.

The residential trick-or-treating was moved to Saturday, October 31, from 3 to 5 p.m. as of Wednesday, October 7.

Officials said the change came as a result of low retailer participation numbers in the Main Street trick-or-treating, and community feedback after the Friday date was posted.

Osage reportedly also considered the football team's season, and if the team continues into playoffs, a Friday night game would clash with residential trick-or-treating.

The new, official trick-or-treat times have been set as: Main Street trick-or-treating from 3:30 to 5 p.m. on Friday, October 30, and residential trick-or-treating from 3 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, October 31.
