RICEVILLE — Despite giving up three runs right away in the opening inning, the Riceville softball team wasted no time in tying this non-conference tilt up and then going ahead for good in the second inning in a 14-4, five-inning win over Northwood-Kensett on Wednesday, May 29.

Coach Andrea Bauer’s squad saw half of its eight hits come from leadoff hitter Jaylyn Beran, who was 4-of-4, scoring all four times while stealing three bases and driving in three.
