Coach Bryce Conway’s team broke a 2-all tie in the sixth inning to take this 6-2 Iowa Star North Conference win at home on Tuesday, May 28.

John O’Donnell struck out eight Dons in 6 1/3 innings of work to earn the win for the Wildcats, who hadn’t won dating at least back to June 13, 2016 according to online statistics.

“First time we have ever beat them in the 21 years I have been coaching,” Conway said, “so a nice win for the kids. We capitalized on some of their mistakes and created some situational runs of our own today.”

The full story and more photos from the Wildcats’ game against Northwood-Kensett all appear in the June 5 print and e-editions of the Enterprise Journal.
