A continuance has been granted in the case of an Osage man who was charged with eight felony counts of sexual abuse earlier this year, according to Iowa court records.

Marcus McNealy, of Osage, was charged with four counts of 2nd degree sexual abuse and four counts of 3rd degree sexual abuse in March, all felonies. He was arrested but posted the $10,000 bond in cash.

McNealy’s trial was scheduled to begin on July 15, but a continuance was ordered in late May that pushes the trial to September 23, 2020.

McNealy pleaded not guilty to the charges and allegations of assaulting the same child between 2011 and 2016 in April. The continuance was ordered by Mitchell County District 2A Judge DeDra Schroeder.
