Obituary: Lori Cimmiyotti

Lori Cimmiyotti, 58, passed away on Friday,brFebruary 5 at the Mitchell County Regional Health Center. She went peacefullybrwhile surrounded by the people who loved her most.

Lori (Priem)brCimmiyotti was born on March 21, 1962 to Arthur and Sara Priem. She attendedbrSt. Ansgar Schools and graduated with the class of 1980. Four months after herbrhigh school graduation, she married the love of her life, and high schoolbrsweetheart, Glenn Cimmiyotti. To this union, 3 children were born-Amber, Cari,brand Logan. Glenn and Lori just celebrated their 40th weddingbranniversary on September 20.

 Lori worked at BawekbrShoe & Clothing for 15 years before purchasing the business and running itbrfor an additional 15 years. At the time of her passing she was employed by thebrSt. Ansgar State Bank with a job she absolutely loved. They went above andbrbeyond by supporting her through her journey.

 For the past 12bryears, Lori battled multiple myeloma (a type of blood cancer). While thisbrcancer took many things from her, she never lost her fight. You never oncebrheard her complain or ask, “Why me?” She did not let this cancer take away frombrthe things she loved the most – her 3 children, her 8 grandchildren, watchingbrany and all Saints athletic games, and her love of shopping.

Lori is survived bybrher husband, Glenn Cimmiyotti, children Amber & Rob Sherrard, Cari &brTyler Johanns and Logan & Jenna Cimmiyotti, her 8 grandchildren Aubrey,brBrayli & Scarlett Sherrard, Trey, Carter, Ciara & Tiara Johanns andbrBrynn Cimmiyotti, sister Joanne & Dave Westrem, father-in-law GordybrCimmiyotti & Sandy Nelson, sisters-in-law Corky & Steve Follmuth, Nitabr& Al Hinrickson, Lynn & Harlan Hobbs, brother-in-law Justin &brAngela Cimmiyotti, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She is preceded inbrdeath by her mother and father Sara and Arthur Priem, step father Wayne Ritter,brbrother Ronald Priem, sister Donna Kirchgatter, and mother-in-law SharonbrCimmiyotti.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 9 at Schroederbr& Sites in St. Ansgar from 4:00-7:00. Funeral services will be onbrWednesday, February 10 at 10:30 at Visitation Catholic Church in Stacyville. Itbrwill also be live streamed on Facebook at www.facebook.com/raymond.burkle.brBurial will be held at the Priem Cemetery at a later date. All current COVID-19brprecautions will be enforced.
