School board highlights
The St. Ansgar School Board held a special session in the school library Monday evening following the regular meeting earlier this month to discuss some important pending matters.
rThe meeting began with the standard roll call and any additions or corrections to and approval of the agenda, as well as recognition of visitors.
rThe board approved two new employees: Bret Williams, who will teach kindergarten and lead the basketball team as head coach, and Aron Brake, who will serve as the head groundskeeper and bus driver.
rThe meeting then moved into closed session, in which the board members discussed a strategy regarding some potential litigation being taken against the school with counsel.
rOnce the closed session was over, the meeting was reopened and the discussion moved to the removal of old playground equipment and purchase of new equipment. The board didn’t make any motions on equipment as they needed more information they did not yet have.
rThe meeting was subsequently adjourned.
