Osage girls take third place team trophy

DES MOINES – The Osage girls track and field team took home four state medals on Saturday, including the state title in the shuttle hurdle relay to bolster the Green Devils to third place in Class 2A.

They had eight points going into the day and put up 37 with three medals for Meredith Street, two state runner-up finishes in the 100- and 200-meter dash. She also anchored the sprint medley relay to fourth.

Paige Kisley anchored the shuttle hurdle relay to the title, having recruited others to join her since she said she didn’t have enough runners to join her when she was a freshman.

Kisley also placed third in the 100-meter hurdles, two years removed from a state runner-up finish in the event.
