Obituary: Robert Dean Osgood

Robert Dean Osgood, 97, of St.brAnsgar, passed on to be with the Lord at his house Wednesday, June 30, 2021. Hebrwas born at Lakota, IA to Levi and Josephine (Fosen) Osgood, one of 11brchildren.

He is survived bybrhis: wife of 75 years, Patty (Schmitz) Osgood; one daughter, Thilieu (Jerry)brDressen; three sons, Tom Osgood, Dan (Pam) Osgood, Jon (Dawn) Osgood; onebrsister, June (Russell) Lee; 9 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

Dean fought for hisbrcountry in WWII. He participated in the D-day invasion, Battle of the Bulge andbrthe capture of Remagen  Bridge. He drove a truck running supplies andbrgasoline to the front and was with the first troops into Paris.

By trade Dean was abrhome builder in Mason City  for many years. He also built many beautifulbrpieces of furniture for family and friends.
