Osage sweeps at West Fork meet

SHEFFIELD — Despite wind and recent rains making the roughs difficult to find a ball played into them, the Osage boys and girls golf teams managed West Fork’s Ridge Stone Golf Course well, in sweeping the triangular on Monday, April 29.

Coach Eric Goddard’s boys team scored 164 with the low four scores to win while the girls had the meet medalist runner-up from Leah Hauge in scoring 222, nine better than the host school to complete the girl-boy sweep.

“Due to the recent rains, the rough was pretty high,” coach Goddard said. “We played pretty well considering that Ridge Stone is a pretty good challenge from a length and green standpoint.”
