Osage freshman Quinn Street and St. Ansgar sophomore Dylan Brumm had a couple of sprint battles, trading off finishes ahead of the other.

Brumm and Street went 4-5 in the 200; Street claimed the 400 in which he bested the Saints’ Drew Powers, who was second; and Street anchored the sprint medley relay that finished runner-up ahead of the Saints with Brumm as the third leg with the teams finishing 2-3, as the Green Devils broke the school record in that event at 1 minute, 28.11 seconds.

“It’s good for sure,” Street said of the competition. “I mean, fast runners make me want to run a fast time, makes him run a faster time. Good competition makes you be better, basically.”
