The previous record was set during last year’s TIC East meet at Greene’s Round Grove Golf Course, 313.

“It shows the depth we have,” coach Eric Goddard said. “We’ve had kids playing since they were pretty young, so it’s now making its way through, so that helps. It’s a new school record, I mean, even-par (for Heath) ties the school record. Plus, 72, 75 and 78 are really good scores with this wind. Plus we hadn’t had the chance to play the back nine here, so we’re pretty happy with that score.”

Heath Voigt earned the conference title with an even-par round of 72, also being voted TIC East Player of the Year, with Tucker Stangel the conference medalist runner-up at 75. In fact, the low three scores came from coach Goddard’s team with Ty Voigt, Heath’s younger brother, coming in third at 78.

“I think I shot pretty well,” H. Voigt said. “There’s definitely some mistakes I need to clean up on. One double that kind of hurt the score a little bit, but couple bogeys, missed putts. It’s golf, though.
